Hapvida's partnership with Promptly Health turns Brazilian data into fuel for global medical research.

Hapvida and Promptly Health, the Portuguese company that provides Real-World Evidence solutions, have announced a strategic partnership to make Brazilian health data accessible to the global medical research community, in compliance with Brazil' s General Data Protection Law (LGPD). The agreement connects the clinical research infrastructure of Brazil' s largest healthcare company to the European institution ' s data infrastructure, which already brings together more than 400 hospitals and clinics in countries such as Portugal, Spain, France, Germany and the United Kingdom.
With this partnership, Hapvida joins a network present across two continents, with a combined ecosystem that reaches more than 70 million lives, forming one of the most geographically diverse health data bases available for research in the world.
Real-World Evidence refers to the use of data generated in the day-to-day operations of healthcare to inform studies and improve quality of care. It includes evidence on the use, safety and efficacy of medicines, treatments and health products, derived from the analysis of patient information and clinical histories.
The central goal of the initiative with Promptly Health is to give visibility to a significant volume of data already produced by Hapvida, organised and standardised into datasets ready for use by healthcare companies, academic researchers and innovators in the field.
